Rules observed in the sample company

Pickers
- Focus opens the full list. Add new is pinned first.
- Typing filters on any part of the name and bolds the match.
- Add new carries the typed text into the new record.
- Arrow keys move, Enter selects.
- Adding a record opens a side drawer and returns with it selected.

Prefill
- Customer fills email, address, terms, tax rate.
- Customer with open estimates opens a suggestions drawer.
- Payee recalls the last transaction: account, category, amount.
- Product fills description, quantity 1, rate, tax flag.

Dates and numbers
- Plus and minus step a date by one day.
- Terms recompute the due date.
- Quantity accepts arithmetic, such as 2+1.
- Editing the amount back-calculates the rate.
- Fields select their content on focus.

Rows
- A blank row is always kept below the last used one.
- Tab past the last cell moves into it.

Guards
- Closing an edited form asks: save and leave, leave, or cancel.

Bank feed
- Payee and category are edited in the row, with the same picker.
- Category list shows the account type; sub-accounts are indented.
- A parent match brings its sub-accounts along.
- Post removes the row, shows a confirmation, lowers the pending count.
- Posted tab keeps the row with an Undo.
- Ticking rows opens a bar: counts and totals in and out, Post, Edit, Exclude.
- Row menu: Split, Create rule, Exclude.

Reconcile
- Ending balance accepts arithmetic. T in a date field means today.
- Each tick updates cleared balance, counts and difference at once.
- Clicking a row opens it for editing in place.
- A warning shows when uncategorized bank rows remain.

Share and download
- An invoice has four views: edit, email, customer, PDF.
- Review and send has a second option, Share link: it saves, then shows a link with Copy link and Done.
- The same Share link is in the invoice list row menu.
- Print opens the PDF in a new browser tab; printing and saving use the browser.
- The customer page has its own download and print buttons.
- More actions: copy, credit note, void, delete, transaction journal, audit history.

Records and history
- Customer and vendor pages: summary of open and overdue, a transaction list with filters, and a New transaction menu that starts from that contact.
- Vendor transaction lists let you change a line's category in place.
- A bank row's Create rule opens the rule form already filled from that row.
- Recurring templates are Scheduled, Reminder or Unscheduled, with interval, start and end.
- Reports: period, cash or accrual, columns by, compare to, a customize panel, and export to Excel, PDF or CSV.

Settings (checked in a live company)
- Company: logo with an edit button; company info and customer contact edit one field at a time; legal info edits as one card.
- Sales, Expenses and Advanced are cards of defaults and on/off switches; each card has one Edit.
- Sales covers form content, payments, products, late fees, deposits on estimates, progress invoicing, messages, reminders, online delivery and statements.

Money movement (built from known behavior, not captured)
- Receive payment: typing an amount applies it to the oldest invoices first; extra becomes a credit.
- Pay bills: a vendor credit applies automatically when you tick that vendor's bill.
- Bank deposit groups payments sitting in Payments clearing, plus other funds, minus cash back.
- Transfers to the card pay it down; they are not income or expense.
- Reports: click a section to collapse it to its total; Collapse all keeps top-level totals.
